The YouTube “vlogger” style presentation of the video brings a youthful and high-energy spirit to the program content, and the colorful magazine format of the student book makes learning fun. From getting started with your business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete achievement of the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. NewHome Alone! Safety (Ages 8+)EnrichmentIs your child ready for the independence of being home alone? Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether it is for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a child who is mature and well prepared. This class for children will address several topics relating to be “Home Alone” including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after school routines, phone calls, door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders and first aid tips. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen. NewMerch Lab - T-Shirts, Stickers, Buttons (Completing 2nd - 8th Grade)EnrichmentTurn your creativity into something you can wear and share! In Merch Lab, students will design their own T-shirts, stickers, and buttons using the same digital art tools that real designers use. Throughout camp, participants will learn how to bring their ideas to life on screen, experiment with bold colors and unique styles, and watch their creations transform into real, take-home merchandise. Each camper will receive a custom T-shirt and a full set of stickers and buttons featuring their designs, making this camp the perfect mix of art, technology, and hands-on fun. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or just love creating cool stuff, Merch Lab is your chance to show off your style and walk away with one-of-a-kind gear! This is a great opportunity to be in a production with ALL the theatre elements! We will audition, learn our dances, songs, wear fun costumes and put on a great show for the community! STEM Exploding Paint Bomb Art invites students to explore the explosive reactions behind color and motion while designing vibrant works of art. Through safe, guided experiments, students will learn the basics of chemical reactions and pressure dynamics—all while launching paint bombs that create stunning abstract masterpieces. Perfect for curious minds who love to get messy and think outside the box, this course is a blast—literally! Students should have a note to ride the shuttle bus to the high school. Instructor Ms. B. (Char) will meet the students at the bus and bring them to the Middle School Commons Area. Spring Youth Theater Class (K-4th grade - must be able to read)EnrichmentJoin Instructor Jason Parker for a spring youth theater class/performance. Class will meet Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. Students should have a note to ride the shuttle bus to the High School. Students will be met by instructor/helper at the bus and brought to the Performing Arts Center. Parents pick up at 5pm at the main Performing Arts Center doors. Performance Friday at 5:30pm - students stay at the theater until the performance Each participant receives two complimentary tickets. Seating is general admission and additional tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance for $5 per ticket/per person (children under 5 free)Spring/Summer 2026
