Prairie Meadows Learning CenterCub Kids PreschoolCub Kids serves children ages 3–5 and offers a high-quality, inclusion-based preschool program designed to intentionally prepare every child for Kindergarten success. Cub Kids is a fee-based preschool program held from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days and follows the New London-Spicer School District calendar*. Tuition is billed monthly on the 15th, with the option for families to pre-pay if they prefer not to commit to a single larger monthly payment. To support families’ schedules, before- and after-school care is available through our Lil’ PALS program: Before School Care: 7:30–8:15 a.m. | $5/day After School Care: 3:00–5:30 p.m. | $8/day Our Mission The mission of the Cub Kids program is to invest early and intentionally in every child through exceptional teaching, inclusive practices, and a deep commitment to safety and care. Our program is led by MN licensed teachers who are READ Act certified, and supported by highly qualified paraprofessionals who meet the guidelines outlined by the MN Department of Education. All staff are trained in First Aid, AED, and CPR, ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for every child. Through developmentally appropriate instruction, intentional daily practice, and individualized support, Cub Kids focuses on nurturing the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We believe all children deserve a safe place to grow, be challenged, and thrive. In Rainbow Smoothies, youth will explore the colorful world of smoothie-making while experimenting with different types of blenders. Each participant will design their own smoothie according to their unique taste preferences, mixing and matching fruits, vegetables, and other wholesome ingredients. Fee includes supplies and ingredients. Along the way, they’ll discover the four key elements of a nutritious smoothie: Base – choosing liquids that set the foundation Fruits & Veggies – adding natural sweetness, flavor, and color Protein – boosting energy and fullness Extras – superfoods, spices, and toppings for creativity and health This hands-on class encourages creativity, healthy choices, and teamwork, while teaching practical kitchen skills. Relish the Moment: Diane Hagedorn Memorial Pickleball Tournament presented by New London Waterdays (Ages 10+) - Two Person TeamsRecreation & LeaguesJoin us for a fun community tournament to kick off New London Waterdays while honoring the memory of Diane Hagedorn—a fun-loving, avid pickleball player who truly enjoyed the game and loved to laugh and have fun. Whether you're new to the game or have played for years, come celebrate community, sportsmanship, and Diane’s joyful spirit. For anyone ages 10 and up. A Diane Hagedorn Memorial Pickleball Tournament presented by New London Waterdays. Location: New London-Spicer High School tennis courts. Backup location if inclement weather will be Prairie Woods Elementary School. First match starts @ 2pm. Two person teams. Pool play followed by bracket play, minimum of 5 games.
