WaitlistBowling Club (Grades K-4)Additional Recreation CoursesJoin us at Alley on Ash each month for some fun on the lanes. We will have a chance to bowl 2 games each time and have fun with our friends. Fee includes 2 games, shoe rental, a chaperone on site, a slice of pizza and juice. Parents pick up at 5pm at the bowling alley. Students should have a note to ride the shuttle bus #37 to the Alley on Ash. Dance Clinic - Next Level Intensive Dance Clinic (Completing 6th -11th Grade)Additional Recreation CoursesOpen to any students completing grades 6-11 who are interested in getting to the “Next Level” as a dancer. Former Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team Coaches, Ta Fett and Kiala Rae Velde will provide comprehensive instruction to help dancers develop and improve skills, confidence and technique. You will learn combinations in jazz, high kick, lyrical/contemporary and hip hop dance. Participants will have the opportunity to learn proper technique in all areas of dance, high kick skills, advanced leaps and jumps, intermediate and advanced turns, flexibility, choreography and more. Dancers will also participate in leadership skills activities during their lunch break. Ta started the Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team Performance Team in 1996 and in 2006 the team started competing through MSHSL. The team has been to the State Tournament every year since that first season in either jazz, high kick, or both. Under the direction of Ta, the Fly Girls were Section champions in jazz 8 times and in high kick 4 times. They were Conference Champions for five consecutive years and have been in the top six at the state tournament numerous times. The Fly Girls have medaled at State nine times and have three state championships. Kiala Velde has trained in many dance forms and styles. She taught recreational and competitive dance at the number one studio in Las Vegas and is currently a dance teacher at Northern Lights Dance Academy (NLDA) of Frazee. She has worked with Minnesota Dance Teams and UDA dance teams throughout the country. Kiala’s studio elite dance groups and soloists have won numerous awards including a 2nd place out of 1600 dances. She has won 9 separate choreography awards with NLDA as well as a Studio Industry Award Nomination. Dancers should arrive at camp with their hair pulled back, wear form fitting clothing, bring dance shoes and tennis shoes, bring a water bottle and a lunch.Spring/Summer 2026 -
Dance Sessions - Intermediate to Advanced Dance Skills (Completing 6th - 11th Grade)Additional Recreation CoursesThis camp is for anyone completing grade 6-11th who are interested in competitive dance. Dancers will learn proper technique to execute jazz and kick combinations. The camp will include strength training, endurance, and flexibility exercises with specific instruction on ways to execute: turns, leaps, flexibility holds, kick technique and combinations. Dancers should wear workout clothes (leggings or shorts) and dance shoes are required. Dancers should bring a bottle of water, have their hair up, and bring tennis shoes for some of the exercises.Spring/Summer 2026 -
Floor Hockey (Entering Grades K-3)Additional Recreation CoursesJoin the parent coaches from River Lakes Hockey for 4 Saturday mornings of Floor Hockey Fun. A great time to learn a few basics for the game of hockey, have fun with friends and burn some energy off. WaitlistLittle Crow Water Ski Lessons (Completing K-12 Grade)Additional Recreation CoursesPlease only register for one session.Come learn how to water ski with members of the Little Crow Ski Team! Participants will learn basic water ski techniques, gain confidence on the water, learn safety skills and how to properly care for equipment. Ski equipment is provided. Fee includes American Water Ski Association insurance for the day. Lessons will be held at Neer Park in New London. There will be an online Participant Waiver to be completed prior to day of the lesson. Please wear your swimsuit. Running Club - Wildcat (Entering Grades 2-6)Additional Recreation CoursesCome play some running games, put in a few miles, and enjoy an activity you can do for a lifetime! The last day of running club you will run a Mile Fun Run at the NLS Home Cross Country Meet. For Boys and Girls Grades 2-6. Fee includes a Wildcat CC T-shirt. Bring your own water bottle. Thursday, Sept. 17 - Fun Run at Home CC Meet at Little Crow Golf Course (Must Provide your own ride to the Little Crow Golf Course) Arrive about 3:30 - Race will start at 4PM. Summer Cheer Camp (Completing K-6th grade)Additional Recreation CoursesJoin the NLS cheerleaders and coaches for a six week summer camp where athletes will practice cheer basics, such as motions, jumps, and stunting. Participants will learn several cheers and the school fight song over the summer. After the 6th week of class, they will walk in the New London Water Days parade with the squad where they will get to show off what they learned! Parade information will be given out at camp once the lineup information if given out. Camp will meet 1 day per week for 90 minutes, beginning the week of June 3rd. Camp will not meet the week of July 6th - 10th. Enter at the flagpole doors for camp days. Track & Field - Summer Boys & Girls Completing K-6th GradeAdditional Recreation CoursesYouth track and field is heavily dependent on parent volunteer to help with the meets. MEETS: Wednesday, June 3rd @ NLS High School Track Start Time: 6:00 PM | Meet at NLS by: 5:45 PM Monday, June 8th @ ACGC High School Track Start Time: 6:00 PM | Meet at ACGC by: 5:45 PM Thursday, June 11th @ BOLD High School Track Start Time: 6:00 PM | Meet at BOLD by: 5:45 PM RulesEach participant may compete in as many events as they wish. Races will run in heats of 6 with top 6 participants receiving a ribbon – no timing. Six places should also be given in the field events. All meets begin at 6:00 pm with the field events then running events to follow. Field event sign up is at 5:45 pm, please arrive early to sign up so the meets can begin on time.
