The YouTube “vlogger” style presentation of the video brings a youthful and high-energy spirit to the program content, and the colorful magazine format of the student book makes learning fun. From getting started with your business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete achievement of the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. Dance Clinic - Next Level Intensive Dance Clinic (Completing 6th -11th Grade)Additional Recreation CoursesOpen to any students completing grades 6-11 who are interested in getting to the “Next Level” as a dancer. Former Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team Coaches, Ta Fett and Kiala Rae Velde will provide comprehensive instruction to help dancers develop and improve skills, confidence and technique. You will learn combinations in jazz, high kick, lyrical/contemporary and hip hop dance. Participants will have the opportunity to learn proper technique in all areas of dance, high kick skills, advanced leaps and jumps, intermediate and advanced turns, flexibility, choreography and more. Dancers will also participate in leadership skills activities during their lunch break. Ta started the Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team Performance Team in 1996 and in 2006 the team started competing through MSHSL. The team has been to the State Tournament every year since that first season in either jazz, high kick, or both. Under the direction of Ta, the Fly Girls were Section champions in jazz 8 times and in high kick 4 times. They were Conference Champions for five consecutive years and have been in the top six at the state tournament numerous times. The Fly Girls have medaled at State nine times and have three state championships. Kiala Velde has trained in many dance forms and styles. She taught recreational and competitive dance at the number one studio in Las Vegas and is currently a dance teacher at Northern Lights Dance Academy (NLDA) of Frazee. She has worked with Minnesota Dance Teams and UDA dance teams throughout the country. Kiala’s studio elite dance groups and soloists have won numerous awards including a 2nd place out of 1600 dances. She has won 9 separate choreography awards with NLDA as well as a Studio Industry Award Nomination. Dancers should arrive at camp with their hair pulled back, wear form fitting clothing, bring dance shoes and tennis shoes, bring a water bottle and a lunch.Spring/Summer 2026 -
Dance Sessions - Intermediate to Advanced Dance Skills (Completing 6th - 11th Grade)Additional Recreation CoursesThis camp is for anyone completing grade 6-11th who are interested in competitive dance. Dancers will learn proper technique to execute jazz and kick combinations. The camp will include strength training, endurance, and flexibility exercises with specific instruction on ways to execute: turns, leaps, flexibility holds, kick technique and combinations. Dancers should wear workout clothes (leggings or shorts) and dance shoes are required. Dancers should bring a bottle of water, have their hair up, and bring tennis shoes for some of the exercises.Spring/Summer 2026 -
Driver's Education ClassroomClassroomThis class will be done in person. Attendance on ALL days for the entire time is mandatory to receive your blue cards.Registration will be open to those who are 14 1/2 years old by end of class date If you are soon to be 15 years of age or older and needing to meet the requirements from the State of Minnesota for classroom instruction before taking your permit test, this class is for you. The State of Minnesota requires that you successfully complete this mandatory class and be registered for a Behind the Wheel Training Instruction in order to obtain your blue card making you eligible to take your permit test online or at your local DMV office when you reach the minimum age of 15.Attendance on ALL days for the entire time is mandatory to receive your blue card. Students cannot be late to class. Before signing up for a session make sure your calendar is clear to attend all sessions for their entire length. We encourage students to take the class within six months or less of their 15th birthday. Priority will be given to those students who are within 6 months of their birthday. (Any changes to attending a session once registered will be charged $20 and any cancellations once registered will be charged a $40 cancellation fee – so please plan ahead.) If your child misses any time during the session they are registered for, you may be subject to a rescheduling fee up to $50. Once you have completed the course, reached a minimum of age 15 and passed your permit test you have to drive with a parent or guardian for a minimum of 50 hours over a period of no less than 6 months and keep a driving log (15 hours of night driving), complete a six hour Behind the Wheel course and reach age 16 before taking your driver’s test for licensure. Classroom fee includes a $100 non-refundable registration fee towards your Behind the Wheel Training and your Behind the Wheel Training balance will be $180.00 due prior to training starting. (Closer to your 16th birthday) ***Parent Classroom Portion: Parents attend a 1 & 1/2 hour classroom session to learn more about the parents role in teen driving, tips on teaching your teen to be a better driver, new Minnesota laws and safety information. Parents attendance at class will reduce the minimum number of mandatory logged driving hours to 40 hours over a period of not less than 6 months. Parent will receive a certificate for completing the class when your child receives their white card. Parent Classroom Portion: Parents attend a 1 1/2 hour classroom to learn more about the parents role in teen driving, tips on teaching your teen to be a better driver, new Minnesota laws and safety information. Parents attendance at class will reduce the minimum number of mandatory logged driving hours to 40 hours over a period of not less than 6 months. Parent will receive a certificate for completing the class. Typically the parent class is offered in November of each year. Students do NOT attend. Flag Football - Adults (5 on 5)Recreation & LeaguesOpen to 8 Teams! Wednesday Nights: 7:30pm and 8:15pm Start times. Games are 45 minutes. Teams will play two 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break between. Bonus Week: Oct 21st for top four teams. Games Played on NLS Turf under the lights. Players will play ½ field games. Teams can be any combination of men, women or co-ed. 5 on 5 league. 5 Weeks of regular season, 1 week of Playoffs for all teams.
