Prairie Meadows Learning CenterCub Kids PreschoolCub Kids serves children ages 3–5 and offers a high-quality, inclusion-based preschool program designed to intentionally prepare every child for Kindergarten success. Cub Kids is a fee-based preschool program held from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school days and follows the New London-Spicer School District calendar*. Tuition is billed monthly on the 15th, with the option for families to pre-pay if they prefer not to commit to a single larger monthly payment. To support families’ schedules, before- and after-school care is available through our Lil’ PALS program: Before School Care: 7:30–8:15 a.m. | $5/day *Drop in rate is: $8.00/day After School Care: 3:00–5:30 p.m. | $8/day *Drop in rate is: $11.00/day Our Mission The mission of the Cub Kids program is to invest early and intentionally in every child through exceptional teaching, inclusive practices, and a deep commitment to safety and care. Our program is led by MN licensed teachers who are READ Act certified, and supported by highly qualified paraprofessionals who meet the guidelines outlined by the MN Department of Education. All staff are trained in First Aid, AED, and CPR, ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for every child. Through developmentally appropriate instruction, intentional daily practice, and individualized support, Cub Kids focuses on nurturing the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. PALS is the place to be! We have daily activities to choose from where we incorporate STEAM, gross and fine motor skills, arts and crafts, gym and outside time! Activities are geared to excite and extend your child's interest and learning development, while providing a safe and fun environment. Snacks are included in the daily routine. We offer an afternoon snack for our After School Programming. PALS Before School Rate is: $6 per day, per child PALS After School Rate is: $9 per day, per child Please note: You may make changes to your schedule throughout the month. All changes to a calendar will need to be made 72 hours before the day you are requesting in order to avoid PALS drop in fees. An example if this is: If you would like care on Friday at 7:30am, you will need to modify that day in your account by Tuesday at 7:30am. Running Club - Wildcat (Entering Grades 2-6)Additional Recreation CoursesCome play some running games, put in a few miles, and enjoy an activity you can do for a lifetime! The last day of running club you will run a Mile Fun Run at the NLS Home Cross Country Meet. For Boys and Girls Grades 2-6. Fee includes a Wildcat CC T-shirt. Bring your own water bottle. Thursday, Sept. 17 - Fun Run at Home CC Meet at Little Crow Golf Course (Must Provide your own ride to the Little Crow Golf Course) Arrive about 3:30 - Race will start at 4PM. All 6x renters will receive Free Rentals anytime they are at Powder Ridge. Free rental will begin AFTER the first trip date. (A $10 fee will be charged to anyone wanting to change their equipment from a ski package to snowboard package for vice versa or for losing their rental card.) Participants may forget their rental card TWICE during the season.
