At NLS we offer football camps in the summer and we have programming for 1st-6th graders in the summer!

Football (Entering 3rd-4th Grade 25/26 SY) Flag 7 on 7 Football League
Football
7 on 7 flag football league with other area teams. All games will be played in Willmar on Thursday evenings. All practices will be at the Spicer Ball Fields. Fee includes game t-shirt. Mouth Guards are required. Tennis Shoes or Cleats are OK. No Metal Cleats allowed. Team assignments based on numbers. Teams will be parent coached. Skills Nights – Tuesday & Thursday, August 12th & 14th 5:30-6:30pm Teams Announced/Equipment Handout on Aug 19th at beginning of practice Practices 5:30-6:30pm with teams on August 19th, 21st, 26th, Sept 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, Oct 7th (NO PRACTICE Aug 28th) Skills and Practice Location: Spicer Green Lake Diamonds - North Thursday games (evenings in Willmar TBD) – Starting September 4th - October 9th Flag Football Jamboree on Saturday, September 27th @ Willmar ** October 9th – All Equipment will be turned in to the coaches immediately following games

Football - 5/6 Grade (Entering SY 25/26) Tackle

NLS Tackle Football Students will be drafted onto teams after the first week of practice and teams will be formed. Teams will be parent coached. Practices will be 1-2 times per week with games 1-2 times per week. Fees cover equipment rental-helmets, shoulder pads, game jerseys, footballs, game officials and mouth guards.Players provide their own black pants/pads and tennis shoes/cleats and practice jersey (Old T-Shirt works well). Monday, August 18th Equipment Handout 4:45-5:45pm-Middle School Locker Room-Enter at Fitness Center Doors Parent and Team Meeting at 6pm (A parent must attend) - On Football Field Varsity Skills Clinic 6:00-7:00pm—On Football/Practice Fields Tuesday, August 19th Varsity Skills Clinic 6:00-7:00pm—On Football/Practice Fields Drills & Skills w/Dad Coaches 7:00-8:00pm—On Football/Practice Fields Thursday, August 21st Practice W/Dad Coaches 6:00-8:00pm — On Football/Practice Fields 8pm Coaches Only - Team Selection Practices schedule: August 25th, 28th, September 2nd 6-7:30pm — On Football/Practice Fields Monday & Tuesday practices starting September 9th - October 14th Games start Thursday, September 4th - Schedule TBD. NLS students will learn the basics of football. They will practice techniques, run plays, and compete against each other in different competitions. Teams will be divided by coaches each week. Teams will be coached by varsity coaches, players, and volunteer coaches. Football equipment will be provided. Players provide their own tennis shoes/cleats and water bottles. Summer clothes are appropriate attire. Practices will take place on the varsity football field following the 5-6 grade lifting session.

Teams will be coached by varsity coaches, players, and volunteer coaches. Football equipment will be provided. Players provide their own tennis shoes/cleats and water bottles. Summer clothes are appropriate attire. Practices will take place on the varsity football field. Instructor ratio: 10:1 Age group will be split into groups based on age
