At NLS we offer both Driver's Training Classroom (For MN Drivers Permit/License) and Behind the Wheel Training throughout the school year and summer.
Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is for families with children birth-five years. Our mission is to enhance the ability of all parents and other family members to provide the best possible environment for their child’s learning and growth.

NLS is a member of the Glacial Lakes Adult Basic Education Consortium based out of Willmar, MN.
Adult Enrichment classes at NLS include, but are not limited to, arts, theatre, cooking, CPR/First Aid/AED training and bus trips!
If you took the driver's ed classroom through New London-Spicer, you are automatically registered for behind the wheel instruction.
Drivers Education, both classroom and behind the wheel are conducted through the Community Education/Youth Service Office at NLS.
At ECFE, you can expect to meet caring instructors whose sole job is to support you in your role as a parent and as your child’s first teacher.
Throughout the school year, we offer special events through ECFE or our Preschool.
Cost: $3/time ($5/family) or Season Pass $30/Single or $50/Family

There are many classes available for youth of all ages. They include Tae Kwon Do, ACT Prep classes, firearm safety, snowmobile training, arts/theater/cooking, drivers education, recreation, trips/special events, STEM Classes, and other activities.

Looking for a safe and structured environment for your child(ren) this summer? PALS is the place to be! We have daily activities to choose from where we incorporate STEAM, gross and fine motor skills, arts and crafts, gym and outside time, plus field trips! Activities are geared to excite and extend your child's interest and learning development, while providing a safe and fun environment.
Snacks are included in the daily routine. We offer a morning and afternoon snack! PALS kids are required to bring their own lunch in summer.
PALS Summer Rates are: $40 per day, per child. The weekly rate is $160 for One Full Time Child. Each Additional Full Time Child is $146 per week. Please note: You may make changes to your schedule throughout the month. All changes to a calendar will need to be made 5 days before the day you are requesting in order to avoid PALS fees. No drop-ins are available in Summer. Please notify the PALS line directly (320-354-2252x 2627) with any changes you make online or if your child is sick.

PALS has gone green - payment options are credit/debit card or EFTRegistration Deadline for Summer PALS is May 8, 2024. You must register for ALL summer recreation/activities by May 15th. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these dates. At PALS we provide summer transportation to and from for your child(ren)s summer activities. If you do not complete both registrations by these dates, you will be required to provide your child(ren)s transportation to and from summer activities.
