Genealogy Presentation (I Received MY DNA Test Results...Now What?!)
Did you get your DNA test results back and after the initial first glance realize you have no idea what to do next? Did the reports seem overwhelming? This workshop series will help participants break their report down into manageable tasks. Each session, Sarah Lockwood, a professional genealogist, will include a brief instructional time about how to understand your DNA results and how to make use of them. Participants will then have time to work on their own DNA analysis, using the computer lab PCs. Access to Ancestry Classroom is included during class for all participants. Instructor bio: Sarah Lockwood is the primary genealogist at AncestryHelp. She has been doing family research for herself and others for over a decade, discovering family history, photographs, documents, ancestors, and relatives across the United States, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Eastern Europe, Germany, Holland, and the British Isles. Research has included documentation for military service as far back as the Revolutionary War, land grants, and immigration origins. Genealogical Education has included earning a Certificate in Genealogical Research through Boston University, in 2021, and a Certificate in Investigative Genetic Genealogy through Ramapo College in New Jersey, in 2024. Sarah is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Sarah has also completed ProGen Study Group 61 to help further her skills.
